We are just a few weeks into the semester, but our continued progress as an institution is evident. Last month, we welcomed more than 6,000 new first-year and transfer students as the Class of 2029 officially moved onto campus—marking the largest incoming class in Temple’s history. Our faculty also continues to pursue groundbreaking research, as they have received new funding from both NSF and PCORI that have the potential to develop solutions with impactful, real-world applications.
Our College of Public Health recently moved into the newly renovated Paley Hall, which has become a signature building located right in the heart of our campus. And our athletics teams are excelling, led by field hockey with a 7-1 record, and strong start by our football team.
A new year offers tremendous potential and promise. I look forward to connecting with you through this newsletter and hope you find it both informative and engaging. Your commitment to Temple’s mission strengthens our shared impact in providing a world-class education to our students. I’m excited for a year filled with purpose and growth and am eager to build deeper connections with each of you as we celebrate the great work happening here at Temple.
